Hello there, we are Seattle Compassion Services, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit established February 14, 2019. Seattle Compassion is founded by military veteran Eric Duechle and sister Christina Duechle, who has lived homelessness experience. Our volunteers and donors help us to serve week after week. EIN is 83-3667138.
This is what we care about. Seattle Compassion Service's vision is a clean and safe community with housing available for the unhoused and low income communities. And ultimately, to end homelessness in Washington.
This is what we want to do. Our mission is to house the unhoused, alleviate suffering, and bring the community together to solve homelessness. Creating a pathway to housing for the unhoused and low income communities through: case management, homeless encampment support, and building housing.
Our values are dignity, compassion and services.
Why we think you should care? Homelessness continues to escalate in our city, state and around the globe. Rampant homelessness is a sign of morale decay from top to bottom. It hurts all of us in our heart to sit by and watch it happen.
Why you should want to help? Nothing significant can be accomplished alone. We all have talents to contribute, and chances are you know someone that is homeless, struggles with mental illness or is addicted to drugs.
In 2021, through the help of our donors, volunteers and partners:
- We have helped house and support 6 previously homeless individuals
- Volunteer weekly at the Fremont Community Dinners and donated $1100. Helping to serve 2,600 meals through our partner Two Bridges Church.
- Invested $13,400 in waste removal at homeless encampments, through dumpster, porta potty services and community cleanups. Praised by City Council, stating "temperature at encampment has gone down since your work in the area." - Created strategic plans to house even more in 2022 and beyond
We would love it if you could donate, volunteer, or share this effort! Seattle Compassion Services pledges to utilize funds to combat the homeless state of emergency and elevate the station of homeless in our community. Have a blessed day from Seattle Compassion Services.
